The Legendary Lioness of Love
At the age of 12, she glanced into the eyes of a complete stranger begging for food and money outside a church in France whilst on a family holiday. In that moment, which she can recall as if it was yesterday, she saw the most electric, most alive, and yet the tenderest gaze as far as she is concerned, that moment changed her life forever! Her experience with that complete stranger, became a torch of light, a reference point, it became her hope and her faith as she moved through her most turbulent teenage years.
In 1996, life threw a few curve balls, and all that was perfect and "special" in her life, crashed all around her. She entered a twilight zone, with only that Divine memory in her heart. She prayed and reflected as she moved through a traumatic, yet liberating 3 years. There were challenges and obstacles, and even terrifying moments, but as a caterpillar must turn into a butterfly, so karma had it in for Julie, as she transformed into Siri Datta.

Expect a challenging asana practice, music, meditation, chanting in Sanskrit, and a yoga practice aimed at developing a compassionate attitude towards all beings including ourselves and our planet.
'All of life is interconnected. What we do to others affects us all. When we begin to see this, we can free ourselves from the false idea that the earth belongs to us, and instead use our lives to benefit others. In turn we will become happy as we discover that the best way to uplift our own lives is to do all we can to uplift the lives of others'. *
*(Adapted by Sharon Gannon, from 'Yoga and Vegetarianism', by Sharon Gannon, November 2008)
With a modern dance background Alessia began practising yoga in New York in 2000, and has been teaching in London since 2004.

Roma Van Antwerpen
"The difficulty we have in accepting responsibility for our behaviour lies in the desire to avoid the pain of the consequences of that behaviour"
Kundalini Yoga found Roma in 2007 and led her to study the Spiritual Art as taught by Yogi Bhajan. She studied with SKY under the guidance of Amir Jaan, Guru Dharam Singh, Darryl O'Keef, Pavllou Landraagon, and Siri Datta. This was her first real introduction into the different aspects of Yogic Science.
The first noble truth of the Buddha states in short that life is suffering, we need to understand this and realise that by escaping reality we are only putting off truly living. Something Roma is all too familiar with, as I am sure each and every person who reads this will resonate with. Therefore, it is time to develop our inner wisdom (our tuition from within), our self-control, discipline and the use of the neutral mind, lifting the veil of illusion to rediscover our selves.
As long as Roma can remember she has been in search of her True Self, peeling back the layers to find the stillness, with a genuine desire and willingness to help others. In this hunt for Truth she has completed various qualifications in subjects such as Reiki, Bioenergy (Raphayad) and Neurolinguistic Programming. Intrigued with working on reprogramming the mind, positive affirmations have been an instrumental part of her life too.
A recent curiosity has guided Roma towards the sacred art of sound healing. She has newly completed a Gong Therapy course and introduces this sacred instrument in her Yoga classes.
Roma has a radiance that casts light upon the long night like the effervescent brilliance of the moon, and an endless gratitude flows from the lucky ones who are blessed to bask in the light that shines from her.
Roma brings a much needed feminine quality to her classes, and is eternally grateful for the opportunities which constantly present themselves.
Join Roma as she works as an instrument with a desire to serve others, reawakening their inner beauty and light.

Pablo Imani
"As a small boy I would watch the cats in my home stretch, observing their ability to deeply relax, purring in stillness and calmness, every muscle in a state of de-stress, yet they possessed so much agility and their running and hunting is second to none. I copied them just the same way our ancient ancestors studied various animals in order to develop their martial sciences."
Unbeknown to Pablo Menfesawe-Imani this was his first approach to Yoga that would eventually lead him to establish Afrikan Yoga in the UK and Ghana, West Africa. Following numerous requests from his students pen his first book under the same name. Pablo's lineage comes from African Science, Cosmology, Martial Sciences and various masters in health, such as the notable naturpathic genius Dr Laila O Afrika whom Pablo studied with in 2005. Pablo's teaching style is attentive and user friendly. Pitching his instruction at challenging yet attainable levels. Students are instantly at ease and relaxed in his sessions as he effortlessly dispenses his knowledge to them. Participants are helped to develop body awareness by being encouraged to listen to their body in order to detoxify and de-stress their system, balance emotions, increase libido, breathe correctly and eventually progress to breathing methods that can induce a psycho-spiritual state.
Raphan-Laye Kebe
Raphan-Laye Kebe is a creative and committed teacher who's down-to-earth approach ensures he can connect with people from all walks of life. He finds Yoga to be a great metaphor for life, challenging us to be engaged yet relaxed on one's path. Although influenced by the Jivamukti Method and that of the works of Jonathan Monks (Yogamonks) and Edward Clark (Tripsichore), Raphan draws heavily on his own investigation into and experimentation with certain practices, and rather than to follow a particular dogma he stresses the cultivation of one's own 'way' as the teacher.
His teaching emphasis is on the development of a practice that is personal, conscious and done in a meaningful way; guiding practitioners towards a freer expression of their own yoga all the while providing a solid foundation to build from/on. The principles of Embodiment, that of Integration, as well as the many nuances of Vinyasa deeply interest him and as such he continues to deepen his understanding through further training and self exploration. Furthermore, as a musician, Raphan enjoys the play between Yoga and Music and apart from using music in his classes, he enjoys writing/composing/producing his own material/tracks.
Visit www.raphan.co.uk for info regarding his musical projects.

Annabel Chown
Yoga has been a constant part of Annabel's life since 2001. She holds a British Wheel of Yoga Accredited Teaching Diploma and has studied with leading teachers including Sarah Powers, Dena Kingsberg, John Friend, and yoga philosophy with Carlos Pomeda.
Her classes are typically breath-led, flowing and dynamic, yet often holding poses within the sequence to develop a deepening of the asana and a precision of alignment. She is inspired by what the different traditions of yoga have to offer, drawing these together into creative sequences: in particular the meditative and breath-led fluidity of Astanga, the safe alignment and body awareness of Iyengar, the heart opening grace of Anusara, and Yin yoga's ability to access the blocked and tight places within us.
For her yoga's greatest gift is in providing us with a space in which to explore our inner lives, unravelling the surface layers as we open the body, mind and heart, and tapping into that silent and spacious place beyond the realm of the everyday. Through this we are able to explore our highest potential, and most importantly of all bring a deep sense of joy to our lives.

Per Hoglund
His first experiences of yoga was through his mother who practiced Hatha Yoga and thought it could improve the asthmatic problems he had as a child. At that point he much preferred Karate and didn't become hooked until later in life when he encountered Astanga yoga and he soon developed a daily practice.
He received his teacher training diploma from Manju Jois (son of Pattabhi Jois) to whom he is always grateful. Manju also invited him to teach in New York. That became a turning point and he decided to leave Sweden and his previous life as an organic farmer and devoted himself to teaching yoga.
After 8 years of working with students from various backgrounds (ranging from children to pensioners and from bankers to inmates in a prison) he have come to understand and appreciate the motto of Krishnamacharya, father of modern day yoga: “Adapt the Yoga to the individual, not the individual to the yoga”. He always aims to create an atmosphere where practitioners of all levels feel safe, inspired and challenged.
Per begun his studies with Ann- Marie Earey and has since then studied with many renowned teachers such as Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, his son Manju, Sharath and Saraswati, David Swensson, John Scott, Shiva Rea, Dharma Mittra and Hamish Hendry. He has taught on retreats worldwide (Barbados, UK) and organized his own retreats (UK, Croatia). Instantly inspired by the transformation and love the practice opens within us, it felt natural to share and teach these sacred techniques to others. She studied both Level One and Two with Karta Singh at the Amrit Nam Sarovar school in France and is now a mentor with the school and with the Sahej Academy (linked to ANS) in the North of England. Drawn to practices that allow the flow of love, self mastery and inner strength, Jai Kartar has the privellege to study with Guru Dev Singh, the master of Sat Nam Rasayan a yogic healing technique, part of the Kundalini Yoga tradition. This healing art allows a deep connection with the inner self and with others through shunia and Jai Kartar feels blessed to share and treat people with it.
