August Climate

26th Jul 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind

This month is dedicated to centred Truth, as there are a number of planetary alignments that are calling for honesty, fresh perspective and social justice.

Saturn recently moved into Libra after a 2.5 year stay in Virgo.
Saturn is the Karmic teacher and Libra wealds the sword and scales of Justice.

This pairing will herald big changes, not only for our own values and sense of inner knowing, but also in our legal and governmental systems, redressing any imbalance or abuse of power wherever it is found.

A feisty New Moon in Leo on 10th August may bruise a few egos in the UK as it falls in our second house of self esteem. The combination of the Sun and Moon together in this fiery sign may tempt us to impulsive action and heated words.

Mars romances Venus in Libra during the last 2 weeks of August and into September. This cosmic couple do not meet very often and by 21st they will awaken our passion for beauty and the arts.

With Mercury retrograde the next day, we may be well advised to seek expression through creativity rather than words.

The Pisces Full Moon on 24th August would normally be a gentle and reflective time but with Uranus opposition Saturn there are a few tensions to bear. Trust your intuition throughout this phase, as with Neptune near the Moon our rational perception stands to be a little faulty.

Sun trine Pluto will begin to show us a few solutions to the ground-shaking breakdown and devastation that we are witnessing on a global scale. This is good news for the environment.

If we stay centred and present we will find the truth inside.

Aquarius Full Moon - July 26th

9th Jul 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind

Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, this Full Moon is all about renewal and rebirth.

The Aquarus/Uranus Spirit of Revolution that began back in the sixties takes on a whole new dimension as we face our responsilities to ourselves, to society and to Planet Earth.

This Full Moon may carry echoes of the previous one on 26th June, but where that one posed the question, this one may well provide the answer (or at least point us in the right direction).

Though the recent New Moon on July 11th taught us about empathy and surrender, this Full Moon is searching for new ways to take radical action and break free from the prisons of the past. The old modalities no longer serve us and a new way must be found.

The pattern formed by many contributing planets is called a mystic rectangle. The Sun, Saturn, Moon, Jupiter and Uranus all form harmonious angles and are working as a team to find a solution.

We see the last of five oppositions of Saturn and Uranus that have brought tension to the fore over the last 2 years, but this time in Libra and Aries which signal innovation and justice urging us to create a Brave New World.

We are more aware than ever before of the need to recreate a world in which we can evolve with pride and more empowered to take up the challenge.

July climate - to boldly go....

28th Jun 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind

July climate - to boldly go....

After all the recent activity that the Full Moon in June brought to bear, July allows us a little space to reflect as the waters clear and we begin to see with new vision.

The New Moon on 11th is another Partial Eclipse but this one brings fresh starts and quick solutions with some inventive planets in passionate fire signs demanding to be heard.

The main event this month is Saturn's entrance into Libra on 22nd just before the Aquarius Full Moon on 26th.

The combination of these energies call to our instinct for social Justice. Libra is the sign associated with impartiality, diplomacy and keeping the balance. Aquarius is the trailblazer that demands change and equality.

We see Saturn opposition Uranus (the ruler of Aquarius) at the time of the Full Moon. Saturn delivers karmic lessons and scrutinizes our motives. Uranus ushers radical change and blesses humanitarian endeavours.

Over the last 2 years we have felt the impact of Saturn opposition Uranus 4 times in the signs of Virgo and Pisces.

This is the fifth and last oppostion and it has moved into over to Libra/Aries to complete its business and push the world forwards as only Aries knows how.

The scenery looks very different now and as we refocus our consciousness and connect with our spiritual sat-nav, we can see a clear way forwards begining to emerge.

Jupiter, also in Aries, gives us the bravery to boldly go where no one has been before. Sweeping changes and visions on a grand scale will begin to take effect especially in the realms of new energy and technology and where they can be harnessed to improve our environmental problems.

Unchartered territory lies ahead. Every journey starts with a single step....

New Moon in Gemini - 12th June

25th May 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind

This New moon merits a trumpet fanfare as the Sun and Moon meet in Gemini as Jupiter and Uranus enter Aries.

Gemini is air energy, Aries is fire. Together, these elements create an electric buzz that will be felt accross the globe.

Gemini is intelligent, communicative and humourous energy. Ruled by Mercury - the planet of communication and the messanger of the Gods, Gemini brings in a quick witted, fast moving, youthful feeling into play.

For anyone writing or needing inspiration, this is the time to keep a paper and pen handy. Ideas will be innovative to say the least.

The healing arts will also receive a booster jab as Mercury is the patron deity of health care and alchemical magic.

Keep your antennae up as sudden meetings and radical ideas given consideration now are likely to gestate over the follwing nine months and produce amazing results from March 2011 onwards.

If there was ever a time to insigate new projects that require use of the highest mind - this is it.

All we need to do for now is consider all the options, no matter how outlandish. There's magic in the air.

Taurus New Moon - 14th May

13th May 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind

The New Moon glides in with a boost of fresh energy that lasts for about 2 weeks.

This is the best time to begin new projects, especially ones that you would like to see come to fruition at the Full Moon in the same sign 6 months later.

Each sign of the Zodiac resonates to a different vibration adding variety to our lives.

Taurus energy is sensual and creative. Music, food, money, furnishings, clothes, perfume, home and gardens, are all things that glow under gentle Venus.

This is a wonderful time to attend to your garden both physically and spiritually. Whatever is planted now and nourished over the summer will bear great fruit come the harvest.

Be kind to yourself and those around you and you will experience the simple happiness and love that makes the world a beautiful place. Home is where the heart is.

Working hard also comes under the sign of Taurus but we must remember to stop and appreciate even the smallest of our acheivements as life is happening right now.

Comfort and security are an important foundation upon which to build more daring dreams and take a few chances.

The fertile energy of the Taurus new Moon is evident in the cherry blossom, the feel of the sun on our skin, birdsong, the smell of cut grass and the general feeling of hope and excitement that the summer is on it's way.

New Moon Aries - 14th April

20th Apr 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind

The new moon in Aries kick starts a whole new revolution of the zodiac wheel.

Aries, ruled by Mars, is initiatory fire and any projects begun at this time will have energy and promise but will also require the stamina to see them through.

We can often take on too much at once and wear ourselves out or not acheive the end results we envisaged.

Chosing one new activity and applying our energy to it will reap greater results than beginning a multitude of tasks.

Idealism and drive are Aries strengths and can freshen up our perspective as winter fades into the background and the sap begins to rise.

Celebrate the simple of the joys of life...sunny moments...flowers blooming...and the world begins to wake....

Creative expression surges upwards at this full moon.

Dancing is the divine realm of Venus led Libra, when her most feminine energy compliments the yang stampeed of the Aries sun.

Acknowledge the eternal partnership of male and female energy through movement, art, music and all the senses.

Aries Climate

20th Apr 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind

Although the sun and moon are dancing accross the Aries/Libra axis this month, the more down to earth aspects of Mercury retrograde and Venus in Taurus rule the day-to-day workings of the month.

Mercury retrograde periods are renowned for confusion and mishaps in the realms of communications and travel. With Mercury turning retrograde on 19th April we will feel the effects of this all month when money, possessions, values and self esteem all come under the spotlight.

Bringing the focus to your self expression and the clear flow of thoughts, words and actions will be beneficial as you may realise that what you think and what you do, are at odds. Realigning your motivations with your actions requires a truth of speech.

Speaking from the heart is emphasised and Venus in Taurus will help us to live from a more honest space.

When Saturn retrogrades back into Virgo from the 8th, clearing up unfinished business of the past 2 years is top of the agenda. Any issues that dominated our lives especially in March and September 2009 will be brought back for final resolution. Saturn rules the karmic lessons we learn, and from April until July we have the chance to reflect on how far we have come in the last few years. Take some time to give yourself credit for the progress you have made.

Spring Equinox

27th Mar 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind

As above, so below.

The Spring Equinox is a time when the world rebalances and night becomes equal to day. We feel this shift intuitively in our bodies as vital recalibration takes place.

We naturally require more sleep and cleansing to get ourselves ready for when the sun enters Aries to begin again a new life cycle.

This is the time when energy levels rise and fall more dramatically causing tidal waves on rivers and in our emotional and subconscious states.

As the planets align and pause momentarily take a cosmic in-breath, allow yourself a little time out to just belong.

Everything is as it should be.

Pisces is a Profound Energy

10th Mar 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind

Jupiter the planet of abundance and great gain will be in Pisces for most of the year, making 2010 a time to go deeper, to simplify and most of all to trust our intuition. We get a feel of how things will be this month with the Sun, Venus and Mercury passing through at varoius times.

Venus brings emotion and values to the surface for inspection. Who, how and what we love is what makes us caring human beings. Compassion and forgiveness are the pathway to heal any wounds and frustrations with others around us that Mars has stirred up over the last few weeks. Resolution and reconnection on a higher level are emphasised and blessed.

Mercury enters in early March to help us express our desires on a soul level and create lasting bonds that are aligned with our inner truth.

Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac. It shows us how to take what we have learned and apply it to our evolving selves to create a more conscious life, in tune with the present and that will take us into a brighter future.

Exploring new territory is part of the Pisces mission as we prepare for the cycle to begin anew at the Spring Equinox. As night draws even to day, our bodies recalibrate and this can be a great month for a detox of mind, body and spirit.

Truly, magically, deeply we navigate the dreamy waters of Pisces.

February Climate

28th Jan 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind

During the month of Aquarius, the ancients of the British Isles celebrated the festival of Imbolc:

the emerging snowdrop representing the new flame of life after winter's long, cold incubation.

Also known as the Quickening, the electric buzz of Aquarius, all the more noticeable after the serious and practical tones of Capricorn, raises the vibration and sparks begin to fly.

Innovation and inspiration are the trademarks of this sign and ruling planet Uranus is known to bring quirky and unexpected change.

Honouring both the old and the new in effortless fusion, Aquarius asks us to break free from our assumptions and imagine the impossible with childlike wonder and excitement.

Jupiter enters Pisces this month expanding our spiritual awareness for the whole year. A simpler and deeper period of healing and reflection glides in to soothe us and enlightenment will come through dreams, meditation and devotional practice.

Saturn turns retrograde with a settling effect crystallizing our plans and bringing sustainable progress until June.

Venus in Aquarius blends perfectly with the Leo Full Moon on 30th January.

The month peaks at the new moon on February 14th. This is a time to simply enjoy the magic and mystery of life itself.

Leo Full Moon

28th Jan 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind

The Leo Full Moon brings with it a golden glow to melt away the winter frost.

As the days get longer and the sun's light returns, Leo's heat and playful energy can rejuvenate the soul.

Ruled by the Sun, Leo is the sign of confidence and creative expression.

The sun is at the centre of our galaxy and the solar chakra is the centre of our energy. Core strength and centering ourselves is paramount.

Allowing our inner power to radiate through singing, dancing and embracing our talents at the Full moon will let our light shine out and bring joy to ourselves and those around us.

Gratitude for all that we have, shown through acts of generosity to those less fortunate at this time, can bring warmth and love to the world as we head towards spring and a new cycle of life.

January Climate

28th Jan 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind

January holds a host of aspects. Apart from the eclipse which signals the New Year like a midnight fireworks display, we also have Mercury, Mars and Saturn in backward motion.

Mercury has had some fun with our planes, trains and automobiles before Christmas but has also brought old friends back into our lives and always helps us to see things in a fresh light.

Mars may have been behind a few angry eruptions over the holidays but, in the big picture, will help us to realize when the ego is at work and alter our course to one driven by compassion and connection.

Saturn also turns retrograde mid month bringing us back to reality and signaling a time to make solid plans for 2010. As this coincides with an eclipse in Capricorn, your plans may be made for you or at least strongly hinted at. Waiting until 21st January would be best before committing to anything solid.

Jupiter moves into Pisces at around 19th and we should feel a subtle shift in vibration as the past year is brought to a close. Jupiter has been in Aquarius for 12 months and made major changes in our lives both internally and externally. Now it's Pisces time to shine.

The Leo full moon at the very end of the month is bold and bright and can be celebrated with fun, friendship and new creative endeavours.

Happy New Year!

Cancer Full Moon

1st Jan 2010 - Posted by Zoe Hind

The Full Moon in Cancer on 31st December is a partial eclipse and starts the year off on an emotional note.
We will all be more aware of the moon's tidal effect on our nature as feelings ebb and flow dramatically at this time. This can be unsettling, but whatever rises to the surface at the beginning of this month will be open to complete healing and resolution.
